E-Learning Development
Audience
Process
The primary learners are lead technicians with ingrained bad habits. They are experienced at construction and the efficiency of running shows. However, they have no knowledge of 5S or lean manufacturing solutions.
The process began with an analysis of the business problem and the learners. We identified a knowledge gap for the technicians in how to transition from one project to the next and collaborated on a solution in the Pillars of 5S. With input from SMEs, I designed the course first as a storyboard before developing several drafts of the course and applying feedback. This course culminated in a Level 2 evaluation which asked technicians to problem solve theoretical scenarios in the scenic shop.
Business Problem
The problem was that the theatre company was seeing a lot of wasted time and energy from technicians moving materials back and forth around the shop before they could get any work done. Additionally, the shop was cluttered with unnecessary materials or old materials from past projects.
Solution
The solution was to provide an e-learning course to introduce technicians to the base concepts of lean manufacturing with the goal of empowering them to create sustainable processes for maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Process
All employees/instructors/coaches at Book From Tape Acting Studios.
The process began by working with the owner of the company to define exactly how they would like employees to operate within the new software. Then, I interviewed employees to identify the gap between the behavior the owner wanted to see and behavior as it was currently happening. Through alpha, beta, and gold iterations of the project the owner was able to give feedback and make requests for certain types of interactions. Incorporating a relaxed and casual company culture into the language of the course was a key goal. The course includes Level 2 knowledge checks, an interactive scenario, and final evaluation. One month after disseminating the course to employees, I audited the employee use of Asana and attended a staff meeting to interview staff about the implementation of the new goals. All employees were satisfactorily meeting the learning objectives of the course and reported both enjoying the course and appreciating the training.
Business Problem
Employees were switching project management software to Asana from Slack. Employees were also newly managing the opening of two locations in different states and a dynamic change in positions. They were struggling to decipher both how to technically use Asana and when to decide to use Asana versus email and texting to establish communications.
Solution
The solution was to provide an e-learning course that would walk employees through the new software and ask them to apply their knowledge within the software.

Audience
This sample was created for a for-profit company that wanted to utilize Google Classroom to coordinate communications with actors purchasing services. The audience consisted of employees with little to no experience on the software who needed to operate the software independently of managers and use it to communicate with clients.
Business Problem
At the current time, all student communication was going through the Director of Operations and direct communication with instructors is not possible. Instructors needed a place to centralize their assignments and student communication for classes.
Solution
The solution was to provide an e-learning course that would walk employees through the new software and ask them to apply their knowledge within the software.
Process
This was a sample of how the software simulation could work to help industry professionals teach within and manage their own Google classrooms.
